  1. 2005 Hard Winter Wheat data from the WSU Variety Testing nursery at the Moses Lake location averaged 153.7 bu/ac.  NOTE:  The 2005 nursery was located approximately 5 miles SE of Moses Lake on Rd 3 SE and was under a center pivot irrigation system following potatoes.
  2. There was very little disease pressure in this nursery. Stripe rust infections were apparent during a 15 June 2005 evaluation; however, it appears that infection impacts were minimal.
  3. PERCENT LODGING ranged from 0 to 93% with a nursery average of 37%.  There was a slight trend of yield reductions with higher levels of lodging.
  4. Total available Nitrogen for this nursery was estimated at 360#N.
  5. Stephens is included in the nursery as a yield check variety because it continues to be a highly popular and adapted soft white winter wheat variety under irrigation.
